PRODUCT DETAILS
The Go Power! AIC-2000-12-SL is a UL Listed 2000-watt, 12-volt pure sine wave inverter/charger with a 100-amp multi-stage battery charger and a built-in 30A single-leg automatic transfer switch — one unit that replaces a separate inverter, converter/charger and transfer switch in 30-amp coaches. On shore or generator power it charges the house batteries and passes AC through to your outlets; when that power drops it switches in under 20 milliseconds to clean 120V AC (<3% THD) from the battery, with 4000W of surge. It is PowerTrak™ compatible, UL Listed to UL 458, ABYC-compliant for marine use, and covered by a 3-year warranty with a North American support team.
Three devices, one chassis, one install
Wire the AIC once between the shore inlet and the AC panel and every outlet in the coach works the same at a campground or off-grid. The 100A charger runs Bulk, Absorption, Float and Equalize stages with selectable profiles for flooded, gel, AGM and LiFePO4 (plus a custom profile), and power-factor correction above 0.95 pulls the most charge from a weak campground pedestal or small generator.
Built to the standard RV manufacturers install
Go Power! has designed mobile power since 1996 and is the inverter brand fitted at the factory by Jayco, Forest River, Thor and other leading RV builders. The AIC series carries UL 458, CSA 107.1, ABYC A-31 and E-11, and FCC Class B, and protects itself against AC over/under-voltage, over-current, over/under-frequency, output overload and short circuit, DC over/under-voltage and over-temperature. Part of Dometic.
Clean power, minimal standby
Pure sine wave output under 3% THD keeps electronics, motors and medical devices running cool and quiet. Hibernation mode cuts standby consumption below 2W, so an idle inverter/charger does not quietly drain the bank between trips, and the low-battery cut-off is programmable from 10.0 to 12.5V to suit your chemistry.
Part of a system
PowerTrak™ compatibility puts the AIC on the same RV-C network as Go Power! Advanced Lithium Batteries, the Battery Manager Kit and Dometic MPPT solar controllers. From the PowerTrak™ display you set charge profile, shore breaker size and cut-offs, and watch inverter load, charge current, state of charge and solar input on one screen. The included battery temperature sensor keeps lead-acid charging accurate; lithium banks don't need it.
Which model?
2000W continuous and a 100A charger suit a single-30A coach with a 200–300Ah lithium bank: a 1000W microwave, coffee maker or induction burner one at a time, and a full recharge from shore or generator in a few hours. Running bigger loads or a 400Ah+ bank? Step up to the AIC-3000-12-SL.

WHAT IT RUNS
Approximate runtime from a single Go Power! 100Ah Advanced Lithium battery (≈1,280Wh, 90% inverter efficiency). Double it for a 200Ah bank. Add up everything you'll run at the same time and stay under 2000W. On shore power the transfer switch passes through the full pedestal, so these limits apply only when inverting.
| Appliance | Typical draw | Runtime on 100Ah lithium |
|---|---|---|
| RV microwave (700–1000W) | 1000W | ≈ 1 hr (6–10 meals) |
| Drip coffee maker | 900W | ≈ 1 hr 15 min (≈ 8 pots) |
| Induction cooktop, one burner | 1500W | ≈ 45 min |
| 12 cu ft residential fridge | 150W avg (600W start) | ≈ 7–8 hrs |
| CPAP (no humidifier) | 40W | ≈ 28 hrs |
| 32" TV + streaming box | 80W | ≈ 14 hrs |
| Laptop charger | 65W | ≈ 17 hrs |
| Blender | 1200W | ≈ 55 min |
| Hair dryer (low) | 1200W | ≈ 55 min |
| Corded drill / circular saw | 1200–1800W | Runs; start-up surge covered |
| Microwave + coffee maker together | 1900W | ≈ 35 min |
| 13.5k BTU rooftop A/C with soft-start | 1500W running / ~2000W start | ≈ 40 min — plan on 400Ah+ and solar |
Not recommended: rooftop RV air conditioners without a soft-start (a 13.5k BTU unit needs 3000W+ to start), electric water heater elements.

FAQ
What is an inverter/charger and why choose one over separate parts?
An inverter/charger combines three devices: a pure sine wave inverter that makes 120V AC from the batteries, a 100A charger that refills them from shore or generator power, and an automatic transfer switch that chooses between the two. One unit, one wiring run, one set of settings, and no converter fighting the inverter.
How does the transfer switch work?
When shore or generator power is present, the AIC passes it through to your AC panel (up to 30A) and uses it to charge the batteries. When that AC drops, the switch flips to the inverter in under 20 milliseconds, so lights, TV and outlets keep running from the batteries without re-plugging anything.
What can a 2000-watt inverter/charger run in an RV?
Any single appliance up to 2000W — microwave, coffee maker, induction burner, blender, hair dryer, residential fridge, TV and laptops — one high-draw item at a time. It will not run a rooftop air conditioner without a soft-start. On shore power these limits don't apply; the transfer switch passes the full pedestal through.
How fast does the 100A charger recharge my batteries?
Roughly a 200Ah lithium bank from 20% to full in about 2 hours on a 30A pedestal, less on a generator with the shore-breaker limit set correctly. Lithium charges at full current until nearly full; lead-acid tapers through Absorption and Float.
Is it compatible with lithium (LiFePO4) batteries?
Yes. Select the LiFePO4 profile (14.4V absorption, 14.0V float) or a custom profile to match your battery maker's specification. Lithium banks need a BMS (built into Go Power! Advanced Lithium Batteries) and do not need the included temperature sensor. With Go Power! Advanced Lithium Batteries the AIC also reads state of charge directly over RV-C through PowerTrak™.
What size battery bank do I need?
At full inverter load the AIC-2000-12-SL draws about 190A from the 12V bank, so plan on 200Ah or more of lithium for sustained use. Lead-acid banks should be about twice that because they only deliver 50% of rated capacity.
What cable and fuse size does the AIC-2000-12-SL need?
2/0 AWG copper cable, a 300A Class T fuse or breaker on the positive lead, and no more than 10 ft (3 m) per DC cable. AC input is 10 AWG on a 30 A breaker. The Go Power! Inverter Install Kit (2000–2500W) includes correctly sized DC cables, fuse block and lugs.
Do I need the PowerTrak™ display?
The AIC runs with factory defaults out of the box, but the PowerTrak™ display (sold separately) is how you select the battery profile, set the shore-breaker limit, change cut-offs, run Equalize and see live charge and load data. Most installs should include it.
Can I keep my existing converter?
Remove or disable it. The AIC's charger replaces the converter, and two chargers on one bank will fight each other and confuse state-of-charge readings.
What do UL 458 and ABYC mean?
UL 458 is the safety standard for inverters and chargers in land vehicles and marine craft; the AIC-2000-12-SL is UL Listed to it and also meets CSA 107.1, ABYC A-31 (battery chargers and inverters on boats) and ABYC E-11 (AC and DC electrical systems on boats), which is what RV manufacturers, marine surveyors and many insurers require.
Is Go Power! the inverter installed in my RV from the factory?
Very likely, if your coach is a Jayco, Forest River, Thor or many other brands. Go Power! has supplied RV manufacturers since 1996, and the AIC series is the current generation of that OEM inverter/charger line, so it's a drop-in upgrade path with matching remotes and PowerTrak™ components.
What's the warranty and who do I call for support?
Three years, backed by Go Power!'s North American support team (part of Dometic). Register your product after purchase; support is available by phone and email, and the manual and spec sheet are linked above.
