PRODUCT DETAILS
The Go Power! GP-PV-80M is an 80W monocrystalline solar panel with MC4 leads, sold on its own as a replacement or add-on for RV, trailer and fleet solar systems. It produces 4.35A at maximum power, about 20Ah a day into a 12V battery, and carries a 25-year limited power-output warranty. Outlet pricing; North American support team (part of Dometic).
Built to the standard RV manufacturers install
Go Power! has designed mobile power since 1996 and is the solar brand fitted at the factory by Jayco, Forest River, Thor and other leading RV builders. This module is the same class of panel those plants install on solar-equipped coaches, with the MC4 leads that match factory wiring and the Go Power! systems already on the road. Part of Dometic.
Add or replace
Parallel it into an existing Go Power! array with an MC4 branch connector, or use it to replace a damaged panel on a factory system. It pairs with any Go Power! controller — a 10A PWM for a single panel, a 30A for up to seven. Mounting feet are sold separately.

WHAT IT RUNS
What 80W of solar puts back each day: about 0.3 kWh, or ≈ 20Ah into a 12V battery on a typical flat-mounted day (4.5 peak-sun hours at ~70% of nameplate). Tilted or in strong summer sun, expect up to ≈ 25Ah. Compare that with what your gear draws:
| Typical 12V camping day | Daily draw | 80W of solar |
|---|---|---|
| Storage: parasitic draws of a parked RV | ≈ 4Ah/day | Covered daily |
| Weekend basics: LED lights, vent fan, water pump, phone & laptop charging | ≈ 25Ah/day | ≈ 79% — covered when tilted or in summer |
| 12V compressor fridge alone, 24 h | ≈ 50Ah/day | ≈ 39% — add ≈ 150W or run a generator/shore day |
| Fridge camp: basics + 12V compressor fridge | ≈ 75Ah/day | ≈ 26% — add ≈ 250W or run a generator/shore day |
| Fridge camp + furnace blower (4 h, cold nights) | ≈ 100Ah/day | ≈ 20% — add ≈ 350W or run a generator/shore day |
| Full comfort: fridge, furnace, CPAP, TV through inverter | ≈ 140Ah/day | ≈ 14% — add ≈ 500W or run a generator/shore day |
Rule of thumb: match panel watts to battery amp-hours (100W per 100Ah) for a bank that recovers from an overnight draw by mid-afternoon. A lithium battery accepts the full charge current; a lead-acid bank should not be discharged below 50%.

FAQ
Does it include a controller or mounting hardware?
No — this is the panel only, with MC4 leads. Controllers, mounting feet and tilt mounts are under Accessories; the 80W Eco Kit includes everything for a first installation.
Can I combine several?
Yes. Parallel up to two on a 10A controller, or up to seven on a 30A controller, using MC4 branch connectors.
How much solar does my RV need?
Start with 100W of panel per 100Ah of battery. A single 100Ah lithium battery running a 12V fridge, lights and fans uses about 50–70Ah a day, which 200W replaces on an average day; 400W covers that with margin for cloudy weather, a CPAP or inverter use. A weekend trailer with one lead-acid battery and no fridge is well served by 80–100W.
Flat mount or tilt?
Flat is what RV manufacturers do and it is fine for most owners: simplest, lowest drag, no wind loading. Tilting toward the sun adds 20–30% in spring and fall; the adjustable tilt mount kit under Accessories makes that optional.
Does shade matter?
Yes — a shadow on one cell can cut a panel's output by half or more. Mount away from the air conditioner shroud, antennas and vents, and park with the panels clear of trees when you can.
Is Go Power! the solar installed in my RV from the factory?
Very likely, if your coach is a Jayco, Forest River, Thor or many other brands. Go Power! has supplied RV manufacturers since 1996, so this panel uses the same connectors and mounting as factory solar-prep and solar-equipped coaches.
What's the warranty?
Go Power! rigid panels carry a 25-year limited power-output warranty, backed by a North American support team (part of Dometic). Register the product after purchase.
