PRODUCT DETAILS

The Go Power! GP-RVC-MPPT-10 is a 10-amp MPPT solar charge controller for 12V systems with up to 150W of panels. It tracks the panel's maximum power point at up to 98% efficiency, charges GEL, AGM, flooded and LiFePO4 batteries with selectable profiles, draws only 8mA at idle, and connects to your coach over RV-C for monitoring from a PowerTrak™ or other RV-C display, or through the optional GP-RVC-R Bluetooth remote. 5-year warranty and a North American support team (part of Dometic).

Built to the standard RV manufacturers install

Go Power! has designed mobile power since 1996 and is the solar brand fitted at the factory by Jayco, Forest River, Thor and other leading RV builders. The RV-C MPPT series is the current generation of those controllers: a compact 6.1 × 3.3 in unit that mounts in a battery bay or cabinet, speaks RS485 and RV-C, and accepts panel strings up to 100V open-circuit. Part of Dometic.

More amps from the same panel

A PWM controller drags a 100W panel down to battery voltage and throws away the difference. MPPT converts that extra voltage into current, so a single 100W or 150W panel delivers 15–30% more charge per day — the difference between a fridge that keeps up and one that doesn't on a van or small trailer.

Lithium-ready, with real battery profiles

Select GEL, AGM, Flooded, LiFePO4 or a Custom profile: 14.4V bulk/absorption and 14.0V float for lithium, equalization for flooded, with over-discharge warning and recovery thresholds set per chemistry. It pairs directly with Go Power! Advanced Lithium and Sun Cycle® AGM batteries.

Monitoring your way

The controller shows status on LEDs. Add the GP-RVC-R remote display for a wall-mounted readout and Bluetooth monitoring through the Go Power! Connect app — or buy both as the 10A MPPT + Remote Kit. Coaches with a PowerTrak™ or other RV-C display see it on the network with no remote at all.

Which size?

10A covers one 100W or 150W panel on a 12V bank — ideal for vans, truck campers and small trailers keeping a battery topped up. Running 200W or more, or two battery banks? Step up to the GP-RVC-30-MPPT.

WHAT IT RUNS

Sizing guide for a 12V system: a 10A controller handles about 150W of panels. Daily harvest assumes 4.5 peak-sun hours at about 70% of nameplate, which is typical for a flat-mounted RV array. MPPT lets you wire panels in series for less voltage drop and better low-light harvest — keep total open-circuit voltage under 100V. Use 10 AWG between controller and battery.

FAQ
How much solar can I connect to a 10A controller?

Up to 150W at 12V — one 100W or 150W panel, with open-circuit voltage under 100V. Two 100W panels (200W) exceed the power limit; for 200W or more choose the GP-RVC-30-MPPT.

Does it work with lithium batteries?

Yes. Select the LiFePO4 profile (14.4V absorption, 14.0V float, no equalization) or a Custom profile matched to your battery maker's specification. It pairs directly with Go Power! Advanced Lithium batteries.

Does it have a display or Bluetooth?

The controller has status LEDs. For a wall-mounted readout and Bluetooth monitoring in the Go Power! Connect app, add the GP-RVC-R remote display (or buy the kit). If your coach has a PowerTrak™ or other RV-C display, the controller appears on it over the network without the remote.

Is this controller UL listed?

No. The GP-RVC-MPPT-10 is sold for aftermarket and do-it-yourself installation in the United States and is not intended for OEM production use. It is not available for shipment to Canada. If you need a UL 1741-listed MPPT controller, see the Dometic SC-DB-MPPT-40-12.

What wire gauge and fuse do I need?

Use 10 AWG from controller to battery with a 15A fuse at the battery, and 10 AWG from the panel for runs up to about 25 ft. Connect the battery before the panel when commissioning, and disconnect the panel first when servicing.

MPPT or PWM — which do I need?

PWM is a switch: it connects the panel to the battery and chops the current, so the panel runs at battery voltage and you lose the difference. MPPT converts the panel's higher voltage into extra charge current, harvesting 15–30% more from the same panels, and lets you wire panels in series. For one or two panels on a simple 12V kit, PWM is cost-effective; for 300W or more, lithium batteries, or long cable runs, MPPT pays for itself.

Is Go Power! the controller installed in my RV from the factory?

Very likely, if your coach is a Jayco, Forest River, Thor or many other brands. Go Power! has supplied RV manufacturers since 1996 and its PWM and MPPT controllers are the ones specified on factory solar-prep and solar-equipped coaches, so this is the like-for-like replacement or upgrade.

What's the warranty?

Five years against defects in materials and workmanship, backed by Go Power!'s North American support team (part of Dometic). Register the product after purchase.
