PRODUCT DETAILS

This kit pairs the Go Power! GP-RVC-30-MPPT 30-amp MPPT solar charge controller with the GP-RVC-R Bluetooth remote display and its 25 ft cable — everything for a monitored MPPT install on a 12V or 24V RV or van, at a lower price than buying separately. The controller handles 600W @ 12V / 1,200W @ 24V of panels at up to 98% efficiency with lithium, AGM, gel and flooded profiles and charges house and chassis banks from one unit; the remote puts voltage, current and harvest on the wall and in the Go Power! Connect app. 5-year warranty and a North American support team (part of Dometic).

Why the kit

The GP-RVC-30-MPPT itself has status LEDs only. The GP-RVC-R gives you a readout where you live — battery voltage, charge current, totals and min/max — plus Bluetooth so you can check the system from your phone. Bundled, it is the complete monitored controller most owners want.

Built to the standard RV manufacturers install

Go Power! has designed mobile power since 1996 and is the solar brand fitted at the factory by Jayco, Forest River, Thor and other leading RV builders. The RV-C MPPT series is the current generation of those controllers, speaking RS485 and RV-C so it also appears on PowerTrak™ and other coach displays. Part of Dometic.

WHAT IT RUNS

Sizing guide for a 12V system: a 30A controller handles about 600W of panels at 12V (1200W at 24V). Daily harvest assumes 4.5 peak-sun hours at about 70% of nameplate, which is typical for a flat-mounted RV array. MPPT lets you wire panels in series for less voltage drop and better low-light harvest — keep total open-circuit voltage under 100V. Use 8 AWG between controller and battery.

FAQ
What's included in the kit?

The GP-RVC-30-MPPT MPPT controller, the GP-RVC-R remote display, and a 25 ft remote cable. DC cables, fuses and panel connectors are sold separately.

Is the kit cheaper than buying separately?

Yes — the kit is priced below the controller and remote purchased individually.

Can I use it with just one battery bank?

Yes. Connect your bank to BAT1 and leave BAT2 empty. Everything else — profiles, RV-C, remote — works the same.

How much solar can I connect?

Up to 600W at 12V or 1,200W at 24V, with open-circuit voltage under 100V. That is four to six 100W panels, or three 200W panels, in series or parallel at 12V. Above that, a second controller can be stacked on the same bank.

Does it work with lithium batteries?

Yes. Select the LiFePO4 profile or a Custom profile matched to your battery maker's specification. With Go Power! Advanced Lithium batteries on the RV-C network, state of charge is shared across the system.

Does it have a display or Bluetooth?

Yes — this kit includes the GP-RVC-R remote display, which gives you a wall-mounted readout of voltage, current and totals plus Bluetooth monitoring in the Go Power! Connect app. On a coach with a PowerTrak™ or other RV-C display, the controller also appears on the network.

Is this controller UL listed?

No. The GP-RVC-30-MPPT is sold for aftermarket and do-it-yourself installation in the United States only and is not intended for OEM production use; it cannot ship to Canada. If you need UL 1741, see the Dometic SC-DB-MPPT-40-12.

What wire gauge and fuse do I need?

8 AWG from controller to each battery output with a 40A fuse at the battery for BAT1 (a 10A fuse is sufficient for BAT2), and 8–10 AWG from the array depending on run length. Connect batteries before panels when commissioning.

MPPT or PWM — which do I need?

PWM is a switch: it connects the panel to the battery and chops the current, so the panel runs at battery voltage and you lose the difference. MPPT converts the panel's higher voltage into extra charge current, harvesting 15–30% more from the same panels, and lets you wire panels in series. For one or two panels on a simple 12V kit, PWM is cost-effective; for 300W or more, lithium batteries, or long cable runs, MPPT pays for itself.

Is Go Power! the controller installed in my RV from the factory?

Very likely, if your coach is a Jayco, Forest River, Thor or many other brands. Go Power! has supplied RV manufacturers since 1996 and its PWM and MPPT controllers are the ones specified on factory solar-prep and solar-equipped coaches, so this is the like-for-like replacement or upgrade.

What's the warranty?

Five years against defects in materials and workmanship, backed by Go Power!'s North American support team (part of Dometic). Register the product after purchase.
